Knitting 102: Purl & Bind Off

This class is part of our new Knitting Skill Builder series. It is designed to go along with Knitting 101: Cast On & Knit and Knitting 103: Working in the Round. 

In this session, instructor Shelly Diaz will guide you in learning the basics of the English Method of knitting, including:

• Purl Stich
• How to purl in rows to create Garter Stitch.
• How to alternate between knit and purl rows to create Stockinette Stitch.
• How to determine gauge.
• Binding Off

Prerequisites: Participants must know how to cast on and how to work the knit stitch. To learn these, see our Knitting 101: Cast On & Knit Class.

Materials: (Materials are not included in the class fee. Kits will be available.)

• Worsted weight smooth light-colored yarn
• US 8/5mm knitting needle
