Denton Yarnworks began with Shelly Diaz, a passionate yarn enthusiast whose journey into fiber arts started at a young age. Inspired by her grandmother Ida, who lovingly passed down her love in the form of crochet, Shelly soon found herself creating custom crochet items and dreaming of a cozy community space for fellow crafters. Denton Yarnworks was born from that dream: creating a welcoming local yarn store with Ida the Sheep, our beloved mascot who honors Grandma Ida’s legacy and her love of fiber arts.
