Knitting 101: Cast On & Knit

This class is part of our new Knitting Skill Builder series. It is designed to go along with Knitting 102: Purl & Bind Off and Knitting 103: Working in the Round. 

In this session, instructor Shelly Diaz will guide you in learning the basics of the English Method of knitting, including:

• How to cast on using the Long Tail Cast On method.
• Knit Stitch
• How to knit in rows to create Garter Stitch.
• Knit pattern guidelines.

Prerequisites: None. No prior experience necessary.

Materials: (Materials are not included in the class fee. Kits will be available.)

• Worsted weight smooth light-colored yarn
• US 8/5mm knitting needle
