Colorwork SwatchLab: Session 1-Intro to Colorwork and Stripes-June 6

Join us on Saturday, June 6 from 1:30-4:30pm for the first of 6 sessions in our Colorwork SwatchLab series! This introductory class lays the groundwork for all the colorwork techniques. Learn how to choose colors and yarns that work well together, then practice striping techniques in a guided swatch. We’ll focus on fundamental skills such as carrying yarn and changing colors cleanly.

This session will include:

• An introduction to colorwork.
• How to choose colors.
• How to manage strands.
• How to stripe colors.

Prerequisites: This is a beginner friendly class. Participants must know how to cast on, knit, purl, and work in rows. 

Required Materials: (All available at the shop.)

• Textbook-The Colorwork Bible by Jesie Ostermiller
• 30 yds each of 2 contrasting colors of DK weight yarn
• Size US 6 or 7 circular knitting needles (any length)
