Join us on Tuesday, November 11 from 6-8pm for Knitting 102!
Learn how to knit small circumferences in the round using Magic Loop! In this 2-hour class, Sarah Walworth will guide you through casting on and knitting with a long circular needle. You will come away with the beginning of a fingerless mitt and the skills to start a sock or any other small knitting! Pattern included in class fee.
Prerequisites: Students must know how to cast on, knit, purl, and increase.
Materials: (not included in class fee)
1 skein Urth Uneek Worsted or 150 yards of smooth, light colored worsted weight yarn
US 6 (4 mm) circular needle, 32" (80 cm) to 40" (100 cm) long.
About the Instructor: Sarah Walworth is an author, knitting pattern editor, and industry community leader. She first learned to knit as a child from her mom, but re-learned as an adult when she needed a way to keep her hands busy. It quickly cascaded into re-writing patterns to fit her, learning innovative techniques, and trying all different ways to tension the yarn. She loves to pass on the craft to whomever she can get to hold needles and yarn for a few minutes.
